Challenge: npower are one the UK’s largest investors in sports sponsorship. npower’s unique relationship with the English Cricket Board and new and exciting sponsorship of the Football League ensures that they obtain maximum coverage both at the live game fixtures as well with the televised matches. An integral part of this branding and Implementation is the team of ‘npower girls’ that provide a strong visual presence at all the live matches. MASH are the premium supplier of brand ambassadors for all of the npower 2008-2011 Cricket & Football fixtures.
Delivery: npower were looking for an agency with a strong account handling heritage and experience of managing ‘profile’ staff across a long summer of activity. Throughout the 2008 to 2011 season’s 26 Test Matches & 33 Twenty20 fixtures MASH supplied premium quality profile staff to carry out an array of tasks including distributing game score cards, servicing hospitality boxes, managing presentation commitments and celebrity signings. Together with these commitments staff were charged with running a competition mechanic that involved collecting spectator data on PDA devices. Over 136 individual staffing days on each the Test Series’ alone over 6,800 individual data impressions per Summer were captured. Npower’s media coverage meant the girls were also required to carry out modelling assignments for printed publications, season opening games and other press events.
